Focuses on teaching strategies and methods to identify children at risk of not reaching their potential in the mathematics classroom. Specifically, tertiary students will interview primary aged children using a commercially available product (for example, the Booker Profiles in Mathematics), analyse the results, and plan, implement and evaluate an intervention programme of mathematics. Students will consider and evaluate other diagnostic instruments and intervention programmes.
